A different feeling

Surprises are a part of my life,
They fail to hit me like a knife,
Their entry is a usual knock
To manage them I’ve even got a special dock,

The lines above sound funny and rhyme
But then who cares, I love writing them

I am sitting in my chair talking about myself
Breathing fresh air for the last 20 days,
My lungs seem to enjoy the feeling
But ask my hands as they tremble with every move
Oh, no, I’m not scared or nervous
It’s just the anxiety caused by not smoking
