Hold of my Life

It’s time to take a hold of my life,
Tame the wild horses, running amuck,
Don’t know the future, having lost the past,
Where am I heading,
I’ll let you know Mom, when I realise.

Back tracking the years, swiftly flown by,
They appear like a rainbow, in a rainy sky,
Friends and foes waving me goodbye,
Into the future unseen by my eye.

Sitting on the couch, tasting my wine,
As the sun on the horizon, was ready to resign,
Began to ponder the path; I walked half of my life,
Brought a smile on my lips,
And I was ready to burst out aloud,
I knew very well that the wine was slowing my pace,
But then I was here in Goa, trying to find solace,
Every moment in my life had an impression on my mind,
And I had enjoyed everyone one of them,
As they all were one of their kind.

But coming back to the world, where I reside,
My mom wanted me, to get off my fantasy ride,
She asked me to look at the world,
Wildly running around,
She wants me to join the race,
And unknowingly get me drowned,
So, here I am, contemplating my life,
How can I refuse my Mom, I love her a lot.

And, here I go,
It’s time to take a hold of my life,
Tame the wild horses, running amuck,
Don’t know the future, having lost the past,
Where am I heading,
I’ll let you know mom, when I realise.

Can I ask you to not listen to your mom in the poem?

You know I could imagine everything you tried to describe.

When I was at the half way, I said,' Wow! that's the way of living life.' - Completely different perspective of seeing at life.
