Laugh at me

The pain has not subsided
The wait is not over
The silence still prevails
And me...comfortably numb.

One for the Road

Woke up this morning
With an ache in my head,
My back made a cracking sound
As I stood next to my bed,
I try to shake myself awake
To my mid-noon morning
Walking towards my loo
I start recalling,

One for the road, my motto last night
One for the road, took away my sight
One for the road, I could bear no more
One for the road and I was down on the floor.

My girl called me up,
Lazily I said ‘Hey honey’,
She blasted me for last night
And said I acted real funny,
Kept yelling at me on the phone
Said I was a complete loser
I tried to explain the situation
But I knew my relationship was blown,
And as I recall my actions of last night
Just one thing appeared to me very bright,

One for the road, my motto last night
One for the road, took away my sight
One for the road, I could bear no more
One for the road and I was down on the floor.

I make a black tea
To get over hangover
But who cares the fuck
I won’t act sober,
I recall the trip I was on last night
I roll an amazing joint full of grass
As the smoke roll into my lungs
My soul breaks out of the glass,
My eyes start rolling up
My mouth goes dry,
I spread my hands like wings
And I’m ready to fly,
Let the trance keep going,
I don’t want to loose this feeling
And as my blood shoots to my head
Last night start’s itself revealing

One for the road, my motto last night
One for the road, took away my sight
One for the road, I could bear no more
One for the road and I was down on the floor.

This feeling’s too strong
I don’t want to let it go,
I feel like I’m holding the sun
And walking naked on snow
My eyes get lit up
Heaven seems to be close,
My heart sunk in the chest
And I just want to repose,
I guess I’ve come too long
It’s the time to return
But my subconscious mind
He’s just being too stern
Nicotine in my body
Comes down to normal,
And I recall last night
And the time I went paranormal,

One for the road, my motto last night
One for the road, took away my sight
One for the road, I could bear no more
One for the road and I was down on the floor.
One day my friend Vinod asked me why don't you write something on the topic "One for the Road" (Definitely after a couple of drinks). so there it was. And this is dedicated to him. Cheers Dude.
